Nebraska Barn & Grill in Gotdenburg

We were passing through and decided to stop for something to eat. We walked in and stood there for about five minutes wondering if it was a western museum, or a restaurant. Nobody was there to greet us, so we just walked around until a lady noticed us. I ordered a steak with waffle fries. The wait was kinda long, but figured it looked like a new place so it wasn't bad. After getting our food we quickly found out that the only thing consumable were the drinks. Steak was cold and chewy, and my wife's food was cold. I wish the food was as good as it looked!

AMAZING GEM along I-80. It's not at a major exit so you can get in and get out quickly. Gas up, eat, stay the night, charge your Tesla. Anything you need.

Salad bar was fresh, nice variety. Steak was seasoned and cooked properly. Young man who seated us was underwhelmed to see us, and service was a little slow, but friendly. Would give 4 stars otherwise for travelers looking for something that isn't fast food. When we were there, cleanliness, especially bathrooms, could have been better.

Been here twice when driving by in I80 and the food and service has been excellent both times. The steak and salad bar are wonderful. Will go again.

Excellent food and service. We hung out in the bar and it was pretty poppin. Beer was good and portions were good. We had cheese curds and Hog Wings...came w salad bar (great salad) a side and a roll. Will be back. Fun place

I Loved this place. The salad bar was Awesome. I had a steak and bake potato. Steak was a little more over cook than I like and not very hot. Had great taste and I will Go Back

WONDERFUL place have eaten here before several times it has always been good!! BUT TODAY 3-28-20 IT WAS GREAT HAD 18OZ NEW YORK STRIP SALAD AND BAKED POTATO AND WAS ABLE TO SIT DOWN AND EAT!!KEEP UP RHE GREAT JOB!!!!!!

I loved it here! There seemed to be one actively working bartender/waitress. She was delightful and never stopped moving. There was definitely a "down-home" (wouldn't expect anything else) feeling to the place, but it was clean top to bottom. We ordered the corn nuggets, fried fish, and blue burger. Everything came out in a timely manner. Everything was delicious! The corn nuggets were yum yum yummy. Fish was flaky and the breading had that *crunch* to it. The burger was fresh and juicy. Also, the sweet potato fries (ordered with the burger) had a really excellent sauce. All in all, we loved it. The jukebox wasn't playing anything, but I just didn't feel like getting up. Honestly, I didn't feel the need to. It was really nice just being able to sit down in a nice place where you know everyone knew each other and welcomed those who popped in from the road. Thank you for having us!

Surprisingly delicious food. We sat on the bar side. Our server was very friendly, the food came quickly, and we were very pleased.

Nice spot to get off the freeway and grab good food. We had the Ruben as it was tasty.No Masks on the employees though. I suggest calling in an order to go. Social Distancing Downfall!!!!

Good homemade food, clean, interesting decor. Great stop right off the highway. My son loved the sweet potato fries, my daughter loved the salad bar, husband had ribeye salad that was yummy and I had traditional hot beef. We even saw a celebrity while eating.

Had the inside out grilled cheese sandwich. Different spin on a grilled cheese. Sandwich was and the service was good. Will be back next time I'm in town.

Burgers great but charge extra for lettuce tomatoes onion pickle. Great menu items but sides were all near room temp but burger hot. 3 tables of customers 2 waitresses took over 30 min to get food. They were friendly, place was clean -kitchen staff needs to be on their toes. I would go back but hope they figure out their timing. Support local was our goal.

Great service and excellent food!

Good for a quick stop and open late at night. Not the greatest food but definitely not bad either. Waiter was attentive, helpful, and nice. Would recommend for a late night stop.

We ordered two of the chicken strip and fries , plus the spinach and artichoke appetizer . The chicken had a bad after taste and had a fishy smell as soon as it hit our table. The spinach and artichoke appetizer didn't have much flavor and was very pricey. We've had much better than what we had today. I have always heard that the food wasn't that good and we decided to check for our self' s. The staff was nice but the food isn't that good.

Would have been a 4 if wait staff had been more attentive.I went back for a second try, had the Grandma Ribeye, perfectly cooked, tender and tasty. Best salad bar in area.

OMG, this was so good!!! Fresh salad bar, awesome food!! We are here every 2 years and they've been open 6 years...how did we not know about this before?? We have 2 younger kids and thought it was just a typical bar and grill so we didn't want to take them in. Definitely will go back with them next time!! 😊

So here is my fair review based on 2 visits that I had. First time when I came the waiter didn’t show up for good 15-20 minutes and was unaware of my presents. After my order was taken the food arrived fairly quickly and was hot and tasty for the most part, the garden salad was prepared beforehand and was served to me off the fridge which made it not very tasty. The 2nd time I came I was able to place my order right away and as far as cooking goes my experience stayed the same but... I had ice tea with me and I was warned not to open a bottle since that’s against the law to drink anything that was brought from the outside. Overall I had mostly positive experience but the waiting time for the first time and unwillingness to accommodate with the drink deducted 2 stars from a 5 star review. I hope the place will widen their drink selection so the customer would not feel himself out of options and would improve the welcoming part.

A lot of great food for not a lot of money. Always have to bring some home. Salad bar is fresh and a great variety. How did we not know about this place??

Came in right before close so it was empty but they have a big menu with lots of choices and the food tasted great. Quick service but again it was empty. Also has a Tesla charging station right outside.

Within the top 5 restaurants in the state of nebraska. Every steak I've ordered could've been cut with a fork. The ribs super tender, sauced but not over sauced and seasoned very well. The fried chicken is amazing. Every appetizer we've had was fantastic. Salad bar is very fresh. Good amount of different beers on tap. Mixed drinks were served made right and not watered down. Staff have always been very friendly and fun. My family and I have always been seated quickly. Servers have always been quick to get our orders in and drinks full. Been here multiple times same experience each time. Other places around the area should take note.

The food was absolutely fantastic. If you like salad bars you can make an entire meal out of their salad bar there's meat vegetables and even dessert. For the birthday boys that I was with for celebration they gave them all dessert. All three of them no questions asked. Wonderful friendly atmosphere that you would expect from Gothenburg.

Good burger and waffle fries. The vegetables for the burger were fresh and good and the waffle fries were seasoned well (more than just salt). Serving staff was friendly and a nice place to eat while charging my car. Bull burger with added pepper jack and bacon.

Chicken sandwich was good. Sweet potato fries were good. First time I've had them with a cinnamon marshmallow sauce. Pretty tasty.

Pulled off the freeway to get some fast food and then saw this restaurant a decided to give it a try. I was glad I did. The restaurant is decorated pretty cool. The food was delicious (I had the Farm Pond Special (fish and chips), a good value, and the waitress was very nice. The names of their food made me laugh (Grandpa's Favorite Bait (shrimp) was the funniest). If you are traveling through and want to eat some good food, eat here.

Great food and awesome service! The BBQ onion ring burger was very good! Glad we picked this stop on our long drive.

The service was great the food was amazing! I had the prime rib sandwich and my husband had the Philly cheese steak. The prime rib was to die for, super tender and a generous portion of meat and at a good price as well. I would not only recommend this place but I will also be returning on my trip back home.
